Olinguito is the name of this amazing rare new animal it was found recently aug 2013. It is an omnivore that eats mainly fruits (such as figs) but also insects and nectar. The species is not immediately at risk but it is estimated that 40 percent of the animals potential range has been deforested.

The olinguito is smaller than the other species in the genus Bassaricyon. It is also much, has a different tooth configuration, a shorter tail, and smaller ears. The olinguito is found in the northern above sea level.
